All Mad Max: Fury Road Movie Cars to be Auctioned Off

by Gabrielle DeSantis

In a surprising move, the apocalyptic Frankenstein cars of Mad Max: Fury Road are going to be auctioned off. We say it’s surprising because it is unusual for movie studios to sell off movie cars they can use for promotions. Props-even ones as large as this, provide a huge marketing source for studios. Later this year Lloyds will be auctioning these hacked desert stormers off.

Everything from the Doof Wagon and Razor Cola, to the sinister Gigahorse, are all hitting the auction. Burning Man participants: are you catching this? Any one of these 13 iconic Hollywood stars would be a highlight of Burning Man parties.

Here is a rundown of each of these demonic vehicles on the chopping block

Gigahorse: W16 Cadillac Pair

Mated to twin-V8 engines are the mangled hulks of two 1959 Cadillac Coupe de Villes. This was the lead vehicle of the Citadel’s gang of vehicles. It’s “likely the first thing you hear and the last thing you see on the Fury Road.

Fashioned like a semi-tanker, it’s powered by two V8 engines back-to-back creating a backyard V16 behemoth. The 18-wheel rig is powered by a six-wheel-drive hot rod cab. It was commandeered by the head of the Citadel Furiosa.

Doof Wagon

For every insurrection you need tunes. The former MAN 8×8 missile carrier was the wheels for Coma the Doof Warrior, riding spread-eagle into the fire.

This twin-huffed gnarly beast started as the iconic Falcon coupe. It was transformed into the fighter vehicle for Slit. The Razor Cola is probably the most conventional of the vehicles being auctioned.

Eldorado

For its hellacious troop carrier looks this should be called “Helldorado.” It comes complete with a machine gun for protecting its savage passengers.
