Have you ever heard of a 1992 Toyota Coaster Camping Saloon RV minibus? You can call it a camping saloon, camper van, an RV, or the original title of minibus. However, this specific Toyota RV minimus only has about 119,000 miles and is ready for some sleepovers in the woods.

The Toyota Coaster Camping Saloon RV minibus

First things first, what exactly is a 1992 Toyota Coaster Camping Saloon RV? It is a single-decker minibus produced by Toyota starting in 1969. Wikipedia notes the Coaster is also known as the Hino Liesse II or the Wanli Toyota Coaster. Japan exclusively sold The Coaster at Toyota Store dealerships.

When it was first produced in 1969, the Toyota Coaster was a 17 passenger minibus using a 2.0L Toyota R engine. 68 mph is the top speed. It gets 165 horsepower and 270 lb-ft torque. Toyota also introduced the Toyota Coaster Hybrid EV in 1997.

This RV is listed on the Japan4wd page, and on the Naples, Florida, Craigslist. It is a pretty cool version of a minibus that the U.S. never got to see (besides this one). The interior sleeps four people and has a large living area. But the coolest part? This bus was imported from Japan, and it is Right Hand Drive (RHD).

A Right Hand Drive Toyota RV minibus to fit your needs

Right-hand drive vehicles are discussed in an article by J.D. Power and NADAguides. Are you legally able to drive a right-hand drive vehicle in the U.S.? Yes, you are. One important example of this is the United States Postal Service. The USPS operates right-hand drive vehicles, as it would be hard to deliver mail in a standard car. There are even some Jeep Wranglers out there that are right-hand drive.

The right-hand drive vehicle must follow the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards set forth by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency also sets regulations.

This Toyota RV minibus comes equipped with a 4.2L turbo diesel 1HD-T Toyota engine and the original automatic four-speed transmission. The minibus has air conditioning, heat, and a roof ventilation fan. With the modifications inside, it can fit 10 passengers and can sleep six. The bathroom is a little hairy, but this bad boy isn’t a luxury vehicle.

How do you import a car from Japan?

Toyota Coaster Camping Saloon | Craigslist

Importing a vehicle isn’t an easy process. Most people will hire a company or work with a company to get the vehicle here safely. This requires an independent commercial importer (ICI) or a company like Japanese Car Trade. It is a delicate balance between the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Department of Transportation (DOT).

The rules often change, so it is recommended to keep up if you plan to import something. Also, the new owner of the vehicle must arrange for shipping through CPB. The car will come in at the first port of entry. After that, it will head to its final destination.

There are many forms to fill out that are listed on the website above. In conclusion, the process is pretty lengthy, so get started researching now if you plan to embark on this journey. Or buy the 1992 Toyota Coaster listed here to make life easier.

For some reason, you don’t hear about the Chevrolet Traverse as much as other SUVs. But we don’t know why it is on the backburner. The 2021 Chevy Traverse is a great family SUV that needs to be considered for your needs.

Is the 2021 Chevy Traverse a good SUV?

2021 Chevy Traverse | Chevrolet

Yes, the 2021 Chevy Traverse is an excellent SUV! It has eight seats, allowing you to take your entire family on trips. According to U.S.News, it’s one of the best affordable and most comfortable options you can buy.

The Chevy Traverse came in fourth place on their list of the best eight-passenger SUVs for 2021. Their list had 14 contenders total, and the Traverse placed ahead of the Hyundai Palisade, Subaru Ascent, Honda Pilot, and more. Options such as the Kia Telluride, Ford Expedition, and Lincoln Navigator were placed ahead of the Traverse.

Why do critics like the Chevy Traverse?

The 2021 Chevy Traverse is one of the only three-row options with eight seats that begins under $30,000. You can get started in a new Traverse for about $29,800. Plus, its low price doesn’t skimp on value.

The Chevy Traverse comes with a 3.6-liter V6 engine with 310 hp and 266 lb-ft of torque. When equipped with all-wheel drive, it can tow up to 5,000 lbs. This is more than enough power to tow a smaller camper.

According to Edmunds, the Chevy Traverse can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 7.1 seconds. This is pretty good for its class. The steering provides good feedback, but the handling could be improved, and the brakes are confident.

The Traverse excels with a comfortable and quiet cabin. It provides a peaceful ride, even at highway speeds. The suspension can absorb impacts from the road with ease, and it’s easy to maneuver.

What are the 2021 Traverse’s features like?

The 2021 Chevy Traverse has a pretty average fuel economy. It gets an EPA-estimated 18 mpg in the city and up to 27 mpg in the city. The Kia Telluride does a little better on gas, and larger options are thirstier.

You’ll find that the Traverse is a pretty spacious option. There is plenty of legroom in all three rows for adults to sit comfortably. There are 23 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats with up to 98.2 cubic feet total.

The large door pockets and deep center console provide plenty of storage space for your personal items. Plus, there are plenty of large cup holders to go around. Child seats are easy to access and install too.

Android Auto and Apple CarPlay come standard, and up to seven devices can connect to the onboard Wi-Fi. The infotainment system provides clear graphics and listens to voice commands well. Plenty of USB ports are spread throughout the cabin to keep devices charged.

However, rivals offer more standard safety features. Some of the optional features include blind-spot warning, forward-collision warning, and lane-keep assist. These optional features may be needed to help you navigate through tight city areas.

If you’re in the market for a three-row SUV, don’t be so quick to pass on the Chevy Traverse. It provides a comfortable ride and plenty of power. It may surprise you as an excellent daily driver and family option.

Honda has always been known for producing some of the most reliable and efficient vehicles at an affordable price and the current Accord is no exception. The 2021 Honda Accord is filled with all of the amenities that you would need, especially in its top-trim Touring form. But can the Accord add “luxurious” to its list of attributes?

I think so. Considering I’ve driven luxury cars like the Lexus ES and IS recently, I would say that the Accord Touring that I’m currently driving is on par. Here is why I think that the Honda Accord Touring is just as luxurious as a Lexus.

The Honda Accord Touring is a very well-equipped sedan

RELATED: How Reliable Is the Honda Accord?

The 2021 Honda Accord comes in five different trim levels: LX, Sport, Sport Special Edition, EX-L, and Touring. At around $24,000 base trim does have a lot to offer, including an 8-inch touchscreen display, Android Auto and Carplay compatibility, and the Honda Sensing suite of driver-assist features. But if you want to really wring out the comfort that the Accord has to offer, then you’ll need to get the Touring trim level.

My Accord Touring test came standard with just about every feature that Honda has to offer. This includes features like a full-leather interior, heated and ventilated front seats, dual-zone auto climate control, and a premium sound system with 10 speakers. There’s even a head-up display, remote engine start, and a host of safety features like a rear cross-traffic monitor and parking sensors.

The Accord is spacious too

There’s no denying that the Honda Accord has grown over the years. For the 2021 model year, the Accord is now 192.2 inches long and 73.3 inches wide. By comparison, the 2021 Lexus ES – the brand’s mid-size sedan – measures the same width, but is around three inches longer.

The interesting part is that the Accord is actually more spacious than the Lexus, despite its slightly shorter length. There is more shoulder and hip room in the front and rear seats in the Accord, by two to three inches in some specs. So any of the five occupants sitting in an Accord will be a little more comfortable than in the Lexus ES. As we all know, comfort is one of the main attributes of a true luxury car.

The Accord is missing a couple of luxurious features

In my time spent with the Accord Touring thus far, I’m pleased with just how quiet the cabin is at any speed. I have detected a fair amount of road noise at highway speeds, however, that can also be attributed to the car’s large 19-inch wheels. Otherwise, I would say that it definitely falls into the category of “budget-minded luxury.”

However, it is missing a couple of features that you can find on most luxury cars today. The two main features that I feel it’s lacking are a 360-degree view camera and a more premium sound system. Of course, these are pretty trivial in comparison to what the rest of the car has to offer, but Honda would have kicked the Accord up a notch by adding these two features.

Is the Accord as luxurious as a Lexus?

Almost! When it comes to being a luxury car, the 2021 Honda Accord checks almost all of the boxes. It has a quiet and comfortable ride, a spacious cabin, and all of the amenities that you would look for in a luxury car. But, in my own opinion, a Lexus – like the ES – still has the Accord beat in terms of overall plushness and panache. Then again, there’s a reason that the Honda According Touring costs $37,000, and the Lexus ES costs around $10,000 more.

If you’re looking for the quietest and smoothest way to get around, then you can look no further than the luxury car category. In this segment, you’ll find cars like the Audi A6, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, and the BMW 7 Series. In addition to plush rides and hand-stitched dashboards, you’ll enjoy the sweet sounds of premium sound systems as well as the pinnacle of automotive features.

There’s no denying that going about your daily life in a luxury car makes everything feel effortless as you easily climb in and out of its lavish cabin and enjoy the serenity as you drive. But which luxury car is the most comfortable one of all?

The Audi A6 is smoother than the others

While it might be hard to pick just one luxury car as the most comfortable, the Audi A6 sure makes a good contender for that honor. According to Consumer Reports, the A6 has a comfortable ride and “doesn’t feel overly firm at low speeds,” unlike other Audis they have tested. CR went on to say that the car feels steady and composed on the highway, and it only has “traces of road noise.”

Couple those attributes with a dual touchscreen infotainment system, the brand’s Virtual Cockpit display, and optional Bang and Olufsen premium sound system, and we can see why the Audi A6 gives other luxury cars a run for their money.

The Lincoln Continental exudes unbridled luxury

If you prefer your luxury car to come from an American brand, then the Lincoln Continental offers plenty of old-school lavishness with a modern twist. Consumer Reports praised the Continental for its ability to soak up bumps and remain steady among the worst road imperfections. It’s no surprise that they even scored it a five out of five in the “noise,” “ride,” and “rear seat comfort” categories.

The Genesis G90 offers luxury and value

According to Car and Driver, the Genesis G90 sedan delivers a “cossetting ride and a limo-like cabin and does so at a price that undercuts established rivals by thousands of dollars.” To be honest, that’s a pretty accurate summation and it shows just how much the Genesis G90 deserves to be on this list.

The Cadillac CT6 is a new American Classic

When it comes to American luxury, it’s hard to beat a Cadillac. The CT6 is the brand’s flagship car and considering it has all of the luxurious amenities that you need, it definitely shows. Consumer Reports praised the CT6 for its plush ride that remains stable and controlled over almost any road imperfections. It’s no wonder that they gave it a perfect score when it comes to its ride quality, fit, and finish.

The BMW 7 Series has the ultimate comfort

Anyone looking for one of the most serene rides in the class might find the BMW 7 Series to their liking. CR noted that the 7 Series has high-tech features, thoughtful touches, and a beyond-impeccable cabin. This can be attributed to the 7 Series’ standard air suspension that soaks up bumps and road imperfections no matter how fast you’re driving.

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class has lots of room to go around

Lastly, it would be hard not to include the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the brand’s largest sedan. With a massive amount of passenger volume, in addition to a huge backseat, the S-Class has everything you need to travel around in style and ultimate comfort. According to Consumer Reports, “bumps and ruts disappear under the car’s tires and standard suspension as if they weren’t even there.”

Which one is the most comfortable of them all?

According to Consumer Reports testing and ratings, the BMW 7 Series scored the highest. The publication gave the large BMW a 99 out of 100 score overall and perfect five-out-of-five marks when it comes to ride quality, front and rear-seat comfort, and interior fit and finish. In that case, we’re not surprised that BMW once adopted the tagline “The Ultimate Driving Machine.” Apparently, that’s still true.
