Even if you’re not a fan of Post Malone’s music or notorious face tattoos, you’ll appreciate his car collection. Like many celebrities, Malone spends some of his fortune on his passion for cool rides. In some circles, his collection of exotic and outrageous cars even outpaces those of other mega-wealthy celebs.

But it’s not all exotics for the music artist. He also parks some white-hot Fords in his garage. It’s evident he appreciates the Blue Oval almost as much as he loves icy-white paint jobs.

Just in case you’re unfamiliar with Post Malone’s success

Without knowing much about him, most people at least know who Post Malone is. But if you’re unfamiliar with his success, he’s worth about $45 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

His career exploded with the debut single “White Iverson” in 2015. But unlike other music artists, Malone didn’t stay in only one genre lane.

He continued with chart-topping hits across rock, country, pop, and hip-hop, proving his incredible abilities as a musician. He’s a guitarist, a songwriter, a singer, and a record producer, making him one of today’s most diverse music artists.

And with all of that cash coming in, Post Malone is also becoming known for his stunning car collection.

White-hot cars in Post Malone’s collection

Post Malone has been spotted behind the wheel of some of the most expensive and exotic rides, most of which are white. They include a Rolls-Royce Phantom and a Rolls-Royce Wraith, the duPont Registry reports. He also owns a white Bugatti Chiron and a white Lamborghini Aventador SV with aftermarket extras. And he recently sold his white Lamborghini Urus SUV to the YouTuber TheStradman.

Some stats suggest Post Malone’s white car collection is worth more than $4 million. Knowing he paid $3 million for the Chiron means his collection might be worth far more than that.

But it’s not just white exotics that occupy his garage. Malone has a thing for the Blue Oval too.

He also has a few Fords

Post Malone appreciates his Ford models. And looking through his collection, you’ll spot a few fan favorites.

His Shelby F-150 Super Snake is only one of 250 that Ford produced, making it a special addition to his collection.

Malone’s Hennessey VelociRaptor 6×6 pickup is another beast-mode ride, with its five-liter supercharged V8.

And making headlines in June, he bought a Ford GT — in Frozen White, of course. This stunning supercar comes with an impressive 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost engine harnessing 647 hp. This “ice cold” stunner can roar from 0 to 60 mph in just under three seconds, the duPont Registry reports.

Celebrities often have an eye for rare classic cars. And Post Malone’s collection features a few oldies. His 1992 Ford Explorer is unique, with $75,000 worth of customizations. There’s also a 1966 Lincoln Continental, a car that wouldn’t necessarily turn heads in its traditional form. But it sports West Coast Customs customizations and might be one of the artist’s favorites — it’s been prominently displayed on his Instagram profile.

Post Malone is just one of the many celebrities who enjoy fast cars. But more notable is that Malone prefers white cars and appreciates Fords, both new and classic. And you don’t have to like his music to respect his lineup of white-hot wheels.

A Yankee player worth millions of dollars still drives a 15-year-old Toyota Tacoma. Yankee pitcher Gerrit Cole got a 2006 Toyota Tacoma in high school. Here’s why he still drives the pickup truck to this day.

Most Toyota vehicles are reliable. The Toyota Tacoma is a favorite amongst consumers because it can take a lickin’. The vehicle is known for off-roading, but many consumers enjoy it as a daily driver as well.

According to CNBC, Yankee pitcher Gerrit Cole got his 2006 Toyota Tacoma as a high school student. 15 years later, the multi-millionaire still enjoys driving his Taco and supposedly doesn’t intend on upgrading anytime soon. This speaks to the humility of Cole but also is a huge reminder that the Taco is an amazing pickup truck.

Cole’s vehicle of choice is a testament to the longevity of Toyota vehicles. Toyota and Lexus models are consistently some of the most reliable vehicles available. The Japanese automaker deserves recognition for regularly producing vehicles that can last over 15 years or over 200,000 miles.

Are Toyota Tacomas good trucks?

Toyota Tacomas aren’t the best compact trucks on the market. They lack the comfort that modern trucks provide. Tacos don’t provide the smoothest rides easier. Automatic transmission Tacomas can have jerky acceleration.

The Toyota Tacoma is a great work truck, but as far as modern expectations, The Taco is becoming antiquated pretty quickly. Like the Toyota Tundra, it could benefit from a few upgrades. Toyota Tacomas come in several fun trim levels that can provide lift, better suspension, and better tires.

Ultimately, the Toyota Tacoma isn’t meant to best the best compact truck or even the best compact work truck. In its purest form, the Taco is meant for off-roading. Their reliability and longevity are assets as well.

Insurance coverage and maintenance costs on Toyota models are relatively cheap. The Japanese automaker is amazing at providing customers value. When it comes to the Toyota Tacoma, you get what you pay for. The Tacoma comes in several trim levels that offer upgrades for even more off-roading fun.

How much does the Toyota Tacoma cost?

A brand new Toyota Tacoma base model starts at $26,400. The base model makes 159 horsepower using its four-cylinder engine. It gets 20 miles per gallon in the city and 23 miles per gallon on the highway. Not the fastest truck or the most fuel-efficient, but the Taco gets the job done and is extremely affordable. A new Tacoma could easily last the average driver 15 years and more active drivers about 13 years before needing serious maintenance.

For drivers looking for a little more fun out of their Toyota Tacomas, the automaker offers the TRD Off-Road trim for $34,565. This trim comes with a 3.5-liter six-cylinder engine that makes 278 horsepower. It gets less gas mileage but trumps the base model in just about every other category. This trim includes a TRD Off-Road tuned suspension as well as an electronically controlled rear locking differential. An extra $1,135 will get you this beast with manual transmission.

Gerrit Cole’s ride may surprise some, but Toyota owners and Tacoma fans understand exactly why the Yankee pitcher loves his Taco. The introduction of new trims has leaned into the Taco’s best features. The popular compact truck seems to only get better with time.

We are never, ever going to get tired of drag race videos as long as they feature immensely cool cars racing against each other. This is why we will likely be lifetime subscribers of carwow’s YouTube channel. The crew has brought us gems like pitting the Mercedes-AMG E 63 S against the Audi e-tron GT.

We also can’t forget when they raced a Tesla Model 3 versus a Mercedes AMG CLA. We realize it is starting to look like all they race are Mercedes and electric cars, but we promise there is much more variety than that. For example, in this latest video, they decided to line up the new 2021 BMW M3 sedan (nostrils and all) against a tuned Nissan Silvia S15.

While the host attempts to find the logic in pairing these two cars up against each other for an airstrip race, we wholly recognize that this drag race makes no sense. The beauty is it doesn’t matter. Who wouldn’t want to see a BMW M3 race a Nissan Silvia S15?

BMW M3 Sedan

BMW M3 sedan | BMW

The new BMW M3 is built to take on a variety of motorsport challenges. It is made to be just as capable on a road course as it is on a canyon road, or in this case, a drag race strip. Despite the way the new BMW M3 looks on the outside (we’re trying so hard not to make more jokes), underneath this German performance sedan is ready for virtually any on or off-track challenge.

The particular M3 in this drag race also happens to be the personal daily driver of carwow host Mat Watson. According to Mat, his M3 is entirely stock with no modifications. It is unclear how many miles are on his M3, but the car hasn’t been out for long, so we doubt it’s high. Mat’s BMW M3 makes 510 horsepower from its inline six-cylinder, turbocharged engine. That is certainly no small number.

The M3 is also equipped with launch control, giving it a sizable advantage off the line over its competitor. One area where the M3 is at a disadvantage is its hefty weight of over 3,800 pounds, undoubtedly heavier than its opponent.

Nissan Silvia S15

Nissan Silvia S15 | carwow YouTube channel

A drag race is the last place most JDM car fans would expect to find a Nissan Silvia S15. Over the last two decades, the Nissan Silvia has become synonymous with Drifting and not traditional motorsports. It doesn’t mean that the Silvia cannot go fast in a straight line when it needs to. Like the BMW M3, Nissan originally designed the Silvia to be an all-around sports car.

The Silvia in this drag race is an S15 chassis which is the final generation before Nissan unceremoniously killed off the model altogether. A Nissan Silvia S15 comes with about 250 horsepower from its 2.0 liter, turbocharged inline-four engine in stock form. The Nissan Silvia S15 seen here is a totally different animal. The car’s owner had the engine stroked out to 2.1 liters. The owner then replaced the stock turbo with a much larger unit. After some expert tuning, this purple S15 makes 600 horsepower.

Not only does this Nissan S15 have more horsepower than Mat’s M3, but it is also much lighter at 2,600 pounds. However, it does have a major disadvantage. This S15 has a manual transmission and no launch control function. Getting a good jump off the line will be difficult for this JDM car.

BMW M3 versus 600 hp Nissan Silvia S15: Who wins?

Despite some over-eagerness, the two cars eventually get some clean races in. The first runs are from a dead stop, while the last several runs are from a roll at different starting speeds. Things start to look one-sided at first, but tables are quickly turned when the drag race methods were switched up. We won’t give away more than that, but we will say thanks to carwow for putting together another entertaining drag race match-up.

We can’t wait to see what eccentric pairing they come up with next.

According to automaker Hyundai, its sport compact coupe the Veloster is dead. There will be only one 2022 model-year Hyundai Veloster. First available in the fall of 2011 in the United States, the Veloster was designed to fill the void left by the Hyundai Tiburon. The Tiburon fell by the wayside in 2008, after 12 years of manufacturing. The Veloster now meets the same fate just 10 years after its initial release. Though one version of the Veloster will remain in the 2022 lineup.

Which Veloster is still available in 2022?

2022 Hyundai Veloster N | Hyundai

The 2022 Hyundai Veloster N will remain available with a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The Veloster N comes standard with the performance package. It features 19-inch wheels, a variable valved exhaust, and an electronic limited-slip differential. Its eight-inch display with navigation is available along with additional safety features. This is what made the Veloster N the most expensive version of the Hyundai model in 2021. With an MSRP that tops out at $33,750, the Veloster N is a nice value option for someone looking to drive a manual transmission. Its four-cylinder engine packs a surprising punch with 275 hp.

So if you’re interested in a Veloster, the N will still be available for at least another year. But which versions will we never see again? The Veloster 2.0, 2.0 Premium, R-Spec, Turbo, and Ultimate are listed as “discontinued due to expanded SUV lineup that includes Venue and Kona.” by Hyundai. The base Veloster and Turbo engines produced 147 and 201 hp, respectively. The base will retire with the Veloster, but the Turbo will live on in the Elantra N-Line. It’s no mistake that the Veloster with the most power will live on in 2022. Its sales numbers have plummeted to just 1,507 in 2021 as of August from last year’s total of 6,785. Velosters sold in 2020 were about half of 2019, making the minuscule 2021 numbers look even worse.

The Veloster Turbo needed to compete with cars like the Volkswagen GTI and Honda Civic Si. While it did manage to come at a better price, it didn’t entirely measure up to the competition in other ways. The GTI’s turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine produces 241 hp, compared to the Veloster Turbo’s 201. Though not too much of a difference, even the Honda Civic Si’s turbocharged four-cylinder manages 205 hp.

The strongest reason to own a Veloster would be the price point. It beats both these other competitors by quite a margin. The Volkswagen Golf GTI starts at $30,540 while the Honda Civic Si coupe starts at just $26,195. The Hyundai Veloster Turbo started at an MSRP of just $23,785, with its non-turbo version coming in under $20,000 at just $19,385. Taking into account other features drivers are looking for, it just wasn’t enough. The Veloster costs more than $10,000 less than the GTI, which sold 22,495 units in 2021.

As far as Hyundai goes, if style and brand are something you look for from the Veloster, check out the Kona and Elantra. A fitting replacement, with the Elantra, even continuing the turbo engine from the Veloster. The Kona is a subcompact SUV that debuted in 2018 and is getting a major update for the first time in 2022. The brand new N line trim adds a sporty look not found in previous models, or in many other subcompact SUVs. Despite the fact that the Hyundai Veloster is dead, The Hyundai Veloster N will live on in 2022. Available in the fall of 2021.
