If you own a home and don’t want to pay for lawn maintenance service, chances are you own a lawn mower. There are many different varieties of lawn mowers, all offered from an even bigger variety of brands, but when it comes down to the basics of maintenance, keeping our mower in good condition is relatively simple. Avoiding a few simple mistakes can mean saving you money in costly repairs later on — or worse, having to replace your lawn mower sooner rather than later.

Storing your lawn mower can be a major inconvenience for some owners. Storing your mower in a shed or garage is usually ideal, as it is protected from weather and the elements. Of course, this isn’t an option for every lawn mower owner, but leaving it outside uncovered can be a costly mistake. Being left in the elements, even if slightly covered under a port, can cause rust or damage from flying debris. Depending on what area you live in, you might also find small critters like rats and mice making a home in our mower and chewing through the electrical wires. If you can’t keep your lawn mower in an enclosed area, your next best option is to invest in a cover

Depending on how big the yard you are mowing is, cleaning up any debris can be quick, but it can also be a hassle. Large sticks, rocks, or trash that has made its way into your yard might seem like no match for your lawn mower’s powerful blades, but it can cause a surprising amount of damage. NAPA also suggests removing weeds while you’re clearing the yard also means that your lawn mower won’t spread their seeds around the yard.

Commit to proper lawn mower maintenance

We spend plenty of time and money maintaining our other vehicles like our cars, trucks, and motorcycles, but it is easy to skip over maintenance routines with our lawn mowers. As you could expect, proper maintenance is a key factor in keeping your lawn mower running and in good condition for as long as possible, and because the tasks tackled by our mowers are different than what our road-focused vehicles encounter, maintenance can be a bit different. One of the worst mistakes you can make is skipping over a quick rinse after you’re done mowing, checking the oil, and replacing filters at whatever interval is recommended for your specific mower.

Most mower owners are guilty of a few of these mistakes, especially when it comes to the seemingly tedious tasks like clearing the yard of debris and rinsing the mower after use. But, avoiding these mistakes is important to keeping your mower in the best condition possible for as long as you can and can save you costly repairs and replacements down the road.

We’ve got a superstar in one heck of a supercar! Scarlett Johansson is Marvel’s Black Widow, and she uses the 2021 BMW X3 for a thrilling car chase scene through Budapest. Let’s see why the BMW X3 was the perfect choice for the big screen.

Marvel Pairs the 2021 BMW X3 With Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow

According to Autoblog, there’s a new hero to keep an eye for during Marvel’s upcoming Black Widow film. Scarlett Johansson is paired with a 2021 BMW X3 M40i, and the 2 Series Gran Coupe also makes a few appearances.

But before we dive into why this vehicle is an excellent choice, we have to get the spider puns out of our system. How many webs per gallon does it get? Can the BMW X3 take a bite out of crime? You could really sink your fangs into this one!

Is the BMW X3 a good SUV?

Yes, the 2021 BMW X3 is an incredible SUV to consider, and it doesn’t need to be on the big screen to prove it. However, being paired with Scarless Johansson, aka Black Widow, probably helps. You can get started in a new 2021 X3 for about $43,000, but the BMW X3 M40i raises the price to about $56,600.

Lower trim levels are paired with the 2.0-liter four-cylinder twin-scroll turbo engine with 248 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. The M40i gets the 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbocharged engine with 382 hp and 365 lb-ft of torque. When properly equipped, the X3 can tow up to 4,400 lbs. That’s enough power to get away with smaller campers, trailers, and boats.

The X3 can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about six seconds, but the M40i can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 4.4 seconds. According to Edmunds, the brakes are confident, the handling is composed and fun, but the steering could be a little more responsive.

You can get the BMW X3 with all-wheel drive. It’s great for navigating through snow and other slippery conditions. The ride is relatively smooth. Bumps can be felt, but they don’t reverberate through the cabin, and it provides a sense of luxury-quiet.

What are the X3’s features like?

The 2021 BMW X3 has a spacious cabin that provides plenty of room for adults in the front and rear. You can access up to 28.7 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats with up to 62.7 cubes total.

You’ll notice that the interior is exceptionally styled with a practical layout involving high-quality materials. The woodgrain trim, stitched faux leather, and nickel-finish metal trim enhance its luxury feeling.

The BMW X3 comes with a standard 10.3-inch infotainment display with in-dash navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. You can add the optional wireless smartphone charging pad.

Key standard safety features include standard automated emergency braking with forward collision warning and standard-lane departure warning. You can add adaptive cruise control. The X3 scored a five-star safety rating from the NHTSA too.

The BMW X3 serves as a fast, capable, and reliable option to keep drivers and heroes such as Scarlett Johansson safe and engaged. Check out this SUV on the big screen, July 9th, in theaters and on Disney+.

Owners of Charger or Challenger Hellcats and Demons in this class-action lawsuit claim the rear differentials can’t handle the high horsepower and torque. The lawsuit says owners hear whining, howling, and whirring noises coming from the differential. They also experience vibrations generated from the back of their vehicles.

The lawsuit takes in 2014-2019 Dodge Challengers and Chargers with V8 engines. It also includes Charger and Challenger Hellcats, and Challenger Demons. These were all developed through Chrysler’s Street and Racing Technology (SRT) group. With that SRT badge, the lawsuit alleges these sedans were built for use on public roads but also for race tracks.

The plaintiffs say the rear ends are not capable of handling the high torque and horsepower of the SRT engines and transmissions. It alleges that these vehicles were defective when new. Failures of the ring gears, pinion gear differential housings, and axles are specific reasons given for rendering the cars undrivable.

The lawsuit alleges that it can cost thousands of dollars for owners to have rear differentials replaced. And that doesn’t factor in damage caused to other components. It lists metal shavings and particulates as contaminating the rear-end oil. This results in friction and heat which ultimately causes the differential to fail according to carcomplaints

The lawsuit alleges technical service bulletins show Fiat Chrysler knew about the problems

As proof that Fiat Chrysler has known about the issues the lawsuit outlines, it issued technical service bulletins related to the differential. It references TSB 03-001-15 which covered the 2015 Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, and Dodge Challenger. The TSB said “a slight noise of vibration from the rear of the vehicle.”

In these cases, the TSB concludes that replacing both rear half shafts takes care of the problem. But as the problem continued Fiat Chrysler revised the TSB. Now, it describes a slight shake/vibration felt in the seat and/or floor, generated from the rear of the vehicle. It said that it was “most noticeable on very smooth roads, at steady-state cruising speeds 50-80 mph.”

The following year TSB-03-004-16 was issued, expanding the model year to 2016. It also suggested dealers replace the propeller shaft. The service bulletin described a whining noise at high speeds coming from the rear axle.

Rear ends making noise and failing are alleged to be the problem

Yet, another TSB was issued in 2016, this time asking dealers to replace axle oil in limited-slip differentials. The noise was coming from rear ends that now included 2015-2017 Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, and Challenger models.

In March 2017, TSB 9003655 described tight turning maneuvers as causing noise in rear ends. This was found in 2015-2016 Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, and Dodge Challenger models. It also included 2017 Dodge Chargers. The fix was to drain the rear end and fill it up with fresh oil.

Even though the automotive market is going through a bit of turmoil, there are still good deals on the best used cars. AutoTrader found some of the best deals on used cars that you can jump on without breaking the bank. The Kia telluride made the list, but some notable competitors like the Toyota Highlander, Honda CR-V, and Ford Mustang shouldn’t be overlooked.

The Kia Telluride topped AutoTrader’s best used cars list

AutoTrader compiled a list of some of the best used cars you can buy right now, and the 2020 – 2021 Kia Telluride was one of the newest cars on the list. While the Telluride hasn’t been around very long, it has made quite an impact during that short time. Not only is the three-row SUV loved by drivers, but critics have found very few faults.

The 2020 Telluride has a roomy interior and room for seven or eight passengers. The interior offers all of the newest technology, and the fuel economy is OK. For the price, a used Telluride can’t be beaten.

The Kia Telluride warranty is an industry-leading warranty that consists of 10-years and 1000,000 miles of bumper-to-bumper coverage. In addition to that, there is also a 10-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty for some vehicles. Kia also offers an excellent Certified Pre-Owned program that makes finding a used Kia Telluride pretty easy.

The Kia Telluride was in good company

The 2016-2020 Toyota Highlander also made the list of the used cars. Similar to the Telluride, the Highlander is a well-loved midsize three-row SUV. It has all-wheel drive, good fuel economy, and can tow up to 5,000 pounds. If you want even better fuel economy, the Highlander offers a hybrid option. Toyota vehicles are reliable and tend to run past 200,000 miles, so buying a used one is still a smart move.

Critics found the 2017-2020 Honda CR-V was a good buy as well. “Compact SUVs are popular for combining the efficiency and driveability of a compact car with the versatility of an SUV. The Honda CR-V is a consistent class leader in this competitive segment,” AutoTrader noted. The CR-V is roomy, reasonably priced, and has excellent fuel economy. It also comes in a hybrid option. If you are looking for a reliable SUV that won’t cost you a lot in the long run, a used Honda CR-V is a good pick.

Other options include the Ford Mustang and Jeep Wrangler

A bit different from the other options is the 2015-2020 Jeep Wrangler. The Wrangler is known for being a joy off-road and on, which only gets better with age. The SUV is offered as a two-door option or four-door and has a removable roof on some models for added fun. AutoTrader noted that a new generation of Jeep’s was introduced in 2018, adding to the plethora of available vehicles.

The sportiest option of all is probably the 2017-2020 Ford Mustang. While the new Ford Mustangs can get pretty expensive, buying a new one still gives you all the fun without the price tag. AutoTrader recommends the V8 GT model if you can find it, but the turbo EcoBoost model is a close second. Like the Kia Certified Pre-Owned program, the Ford Blue Advantage program is worth looking at to get a good deal on one of the used car options. A reasonably priced Ford Mustang? Sign us up.

So even if you don’t take home the Kia Telluride, there are plenty of other options. Some of the best used cars might not be on your list, but it isn’t too late to take a look. AutoTrader can help you find a local option or even find used cars in a neighboring area if you search by location.
