THE ROAD TO WORLD CAR 2024 and the WORLD CAR FINALS POWERED BY BREMBO concluded today with the live announcement of the winners in six award categories at the New York International Auto Show.

It’s a double win for the KIA EV9 which won both the 2024 World Car of the Year™ title as well as the 2024 World Electric Vehicle award.

Today’s double win brings the total number of awards won by KIA to five in the World Car Awards’ 20-year history.

In 2023, the Kia EV6 GT won the World Performance Car title while in 2020 Kia was the recipient of two awards. The Kia Telluride was the overall 2020 World Car of the Year winner and the Kia Soul EV won the World Urban Car category.

The name “Neolun” is derived from the Greek “neo,” or new, and the Latin “luna,” which means moon. Together, it encapsulates Genesis’ technological innovation that exceeds conventional standards and sets forth the brand’s vision for the future.

The Magma program adds a new dimension to Genesis, marking the brand’s expansion into the realm of high-performance vehicles. Genesis ultimately aims to develop a high-performance Magma model for each production vehicle in the existing lineup, maximizing both aesthetics and performance.
