Hyundai’s most recent advertising campaign is a lofty ambition, to say the least. Rather than just tease the technology of the future, the brand created a server on the popular children’s game Roblox. Think of it like Minecraft, but oriented toward exploring different worlds rather than building stuff. And now, Hyundai built a world of their own so players can journey into the future of electric cars, and other concept vehicles.

The Hyundai Mobility Adventure shows the brand’s vision of the future

A new future awaits one with hoverboards, drones, and self-driving electric cars. And truth be told, Roblox is a much cheaper way of displaying their technological fever dreams rather than actually building each product. But rather than cramming as much content into one area, Hyundai plans to divide the server into separate areas, or parks, each representing just one bit of the company’s goals.

When you open the server, you’ll drop right into Festival Square, where you can listen to music and show off your cars. The four other parks, however, have their own theme and cars tacked to them.

There’s Future Mobility City, where alternate mobility technologies like hydrogen cars rule the streets, but more on that in a bit. Then there’s the Eco-Forest Powered by Ioniq, where electric cars meet simple, slow living. There’s the Smart Tech Campus for the wannabe Hyundai engineers. And lastly, there’s the Racing Park Powered by the N-Line.

Those five worlds all sound intriguing in their own ways, though as of now, not all five are released to the public. The open beta only features the Festival Square and Future Mobility City, with plans to add the Eco-Forest in October, and the Smart Lab/Racing Park before the year’s end. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t any cool gadgets and cars available now.

Hyundai Mobility Adventure Roblox Server | Hyundai

When you first spawn in Hyundai’s server, you’ll be presented with your brand new Hyundai Nexo. Think of this as the starter car in the game, though in the real work it’s far from it. The Nexo is Hyundai’s hydrogen fuel cell car, available only in California. And the base MSRP is a whopping $58,935, which questions whether this fuel cell SUV is worth buying.

The “poster child” of this Mobility Adventure, however, has to be the Ioniq 5. It’s Hyundai’s first exclusively electric car, boating 225 hp and 300 miles of range on the base model. Price, however, is TBA, and we’re not sure how that range will compare between the real world and Roblox.

Also featured in the trailer is a Hyundai Tucson, which we can only assume is either the 2022 plug-in hybrid model or the N line. Or both. After all, a regular gas-powered SUV doesn’t sound very “futuristic.”

But there are three other oddballs that don’t exactly fit into Hyundai’s portfolio, all of which are featured in this new Open Beta. For starters, there’s a small dog-like robot on wheels, reminiscent of Boston Dynamic’s Spot. There’s also a futuristic streetcar that simply wanders around the map. But perhaps the most exciting vehicle featured is the Hyundai S-A1 Air Taxi

A brief overview of the Hyundai S-A1 Air Taxi

I know, you came to read about Hyundai’s Roblox server. But the S-A1 Air Taxi is interesting enough where it deserves its own blurb. First revealed at the 2020 CES tech show, it’s a four-seater air taxi with some ambitious goals.

For starters, the S-A1 is a partnership between both Hyundai and Uber, meaning you can call for one of these things from your smartphone. Though, obviously, you’d need a helipad, which is where the Hyundai S-Hubs come into play. Like an airport for these electric airborne taxis, they can take passengers 60 miles per charge at speeds of 180 mph. Oh, did we mention Hyundai wants these things to be autonomous?

While the first production models will have a pilot, the S-A1 is meant to be fully autonomous. As are the little electric streetcars that get passengers to and from the S-Hubs. And while none of these have been built, likely due to the immense regulation hurdles Hyundai would have to get over, it’s nice to know the concept lives on in Roblox.

Is the Hyundai Mobility Adventure any good?

Well, I’ll start by saying you can log onto Roblox and play Hyundai’s Mobility Adventure for free. So if you end up hating it, at least you’re only wasting time and not money. Now, Roblox can be pretty buggy, especially when it comes to driving cars. So don’t expect this to be anything impressive, it’s really just a game.

But, as Hyundai explains in a recent press release, it’s also a form of communication. Younger audiences especially can get a taste of the future through the videogames they play, and there are means in the server to report problems and suggestions to Hyundai developers. It’s a strange way of accepting user input, but that’s more user interaction than a lot of automakers can tout.

Is this a revolutionary piece of technology that’ll change how you see the future? Nope, not even close. It’s a collection of minigames for kids to not only introduce the brand, but show off what might be in store for Hyundai in the future.

Everatti is doing big things in the name of electric vehicles, especially with this Porsche 911. The automotive restoration company focuses on “electrifying icons,” like the 911, Land Rover, and other classics. Everatti offers the 964 in three fully customizable varieties: the Coupé, Targa, and Gulf Signature Edition.

What is Everatti doing with the Porsche 911 EV?

“We expertly upgrade cars from burning fossil fuel into beautiful electric versions of themselves,” Justin Lunny, Everatti Founder, and CEO said. The company believes that the future of travel relies on electric cars, and every vehicle produced is a step toward that.

Everatti calls moving from a combustion engine to an electric drive train a “sympathetic, almost surgical” process. Also, the process is completely reversible. The company says that the 911 should retain its value. This is where the 964 Porsche 911 comes into play. As one of the most iconic cars, Porsche offered 964 in the Coupé, Targa, and Cabriolet body designs. Nevertheless, the coolest one is the Porsche 911 (964) Gulf Signature Edition.

The Everatti Porsche 911 (964) Coupe or Targa

The process starts with a donor car. Everatti or the customer can provide this. For the Porsche 911 (964) specifically, both the “Pure” narrow-body or “Signature” wide-body are available. Everatti starts with a complete restoration of the nuts and bolts but leaves the original integrity and architecture.

The 911 comes equipped with a 53kWh battery pack and a purpose-built differential. It gets a regenerative braking system like most modern EVs. Plus, the Porsche will get other modern upgrades as necessary. All models get special paint, custom interior bits, and a Cat 5 alarm and tracker. There are a lot of optional changes and upgrades depending on preference.

Pure / Signature, Signature with Performance Package, plus the Gulf Signature Edition

For the Pure / Signature option, the 0-60 mph time is 4.5 seconds. The Porsche 911 gets 44 bhp and has a range of over 180 miles. Buyers can use either AC and DC Fast Charging to charge. The Signature with Performance Package has a 0-60 time of under four seconds. It gets 500 bhp and has a slightly shorter range of 150 miles.

The Gulf Signature Edition comes in two varieties. The first is the signature wide body with an optional performance pack. The current emissions before the transformation are 3,099 kg C02 per annum. After, the emissions are zero. The 0-60 mph time goes from 5.5 seconds (manual) or 6.2 seconds (Tiptronic) option down to under four seconds.

The Gulf Signature Edition gets 500 bhp up from 247 hp. The range gets cut from 345 miles to around 150 miles, but it makes up for it. However, refuel costs go down from an estimated $131.57 to $11.36 for a recharge.

Nevertheless, the Everatti Porsche 911 (964) electric vehicle is ahead of the curve. If you are interested in taking a classic 911 combustion engine to an electric drive train, look no further. If these are the first examples the brand offers, the later designs are going to be ridiculous. Don’t overlook the Everatti Land Rover Series IIA, either.

The Subaru Forester is one of the most popular and well-reviewed compact SUVs, and it’s set to get big updates soon. Though the changes won’t represent a new Forester generation, they’ll still mark a major redesign, and fans welcome it. But there’s bad news for Subaru Forester fans stateside: The redesign will be available only in Japan — for now at least.

A look at the 2021 Subaru Forester

Simply put, there are many reasons why the Subaru Forester is an award-winning SUV. There’s not much that the Forester does poorly. Even in areas where the Forester isn’t the best, it does the job well enough. That’s exactly the case with its powertrain. The Forester has only one engine option, a 2.5-liter four-cylinder. It’s not a sporty engine by any means, but it’s powerful enough for everyday driving.

But where this compact crossover SUV really excels is its practicality. The Forester is a very safe SUV. It has tons of safety features, including many standard smart safety systems. On top of that, every model comes with all-wheel drive. Furthermore, its fuel economy is also good, at 26 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway.

And the Forester is roomy for a small SUV, so there’s enough space for people and their things. Plus, it boasts an attractive starting price of about $25,000. And, of course, there’s that redesign.

The 2022 Subaru Forester redesign is coming soon

According to Autoblog, Subaru has only teased the upcoming 2022 redesign for the American market. However, the automaker recently launched the redesigned Forester in Japan. And, as expected, one of the most obvious changes is to the exterior.

The 2022 Forester has a new face that includes headlights with more definition a more angular grille.

Those changes, along with others, will make the SUV’s face look “stronger,” Autoblog reports. Other improvements make the Forester’s exterior look better-designed overall, including minor updates to the rear. That said, there don’t appear to be huge design changes in the cabin.

However, there will likely be more changes than those, but Subaru hasn’t released many details yet. What we do know, though, is that the new Forester Wilderness will be based on this redesign. Subaru unveiled the Wilderness recently, and Autoblog speculates the automaker will reveal more info about the standard 2022 Forester not long after.

The Wilderness edition is meant for off-roading

The Forester Wilderness trim, as the name suggests, is meant for off-roading. This trim will have the same engine as the standard model, but its fuel economy will suffer for its performance chops.

That shouldn’t be a surprise for folks who love off-roading, but it’ll be a significant drop in gas mileage regardless. The Forester Wilderness should get about 25 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. Compared to the standard Forester, the Wilderness has about the same gas mileage in the city but 5 mpg less on highways.

As for the design, the Wilderness will get a few perks, too. Like other models in the Wilderness sub-brand, the Forester Wilderness will get new badging that tells everyone it’s a rugged version.

Mercedes-Benz is entering the race to create the best electric vehicle. Popular automakers are all rolling out their new EVs. Companies like Ford and Tesla have an edge after launching successful EVs. Now Benz is trying to stake its own claim to the electric future. The 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQB electric SUV is coming to America.

What is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQB?

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz EBQ is an electric vehicle that is inspired by the Mercedes-Benz GLB crossover vehicle. China and Europe have received the electric vehicle, and now, according to Motor1, it is on its way to America in the coming months. The EQB will be the first electric Mercedes-Benz SUV that has been introduced in America.

The German luxury automaker has yet to release successful electric vehicles, so a lot is riding on the public perception of the 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQB. Can the company establish itself as a leader in the electric vehicle space, or will its EV fall short like Honda’s attempt at an EV?

Like most Mercedes-Benz models, the EQB combines comfort, luxury, and an engine peppy enough to be exciting. The EQB is in a class of its own, as many luxury electric vehicles have been completely unaffordable to the average consumer. The new electric Benz creates a lane for more refined electric vehicles that consumers can still hope to afford.

What’s new about the 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQB?

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQB is groundbreaking for the German automaker. It couldn’t come to America at a more impactful time as the Biden administration has set new EV goals for the country in the next decade. SUVs are currently one of the most popular vehicle classes in America. If Benz has executed properly, the EQB could become the quintessential luxury electric SUV in America.

The Mercedes-Benz EQB includes features like Navigation with Electric Intelligence as well as several features that give Benz drivers the best experience that the electric SUV can provide. The SUV aims to make range anxiety as distant a thought as possible when enjoying the smooth and quiet ride that the classy EV grants its occupants. Benz knew that when it went electric, it had to go all-in, and that’s exactly what the EQB represents.

The new electric SUV features fast-charging technology that allows the Benz to recharge up to 80% of its total battery capacity in slightly over 30 minutes on average. Several features allow battery optimization. The EQB takes EV ownership from challenging to convenient, completely redefining battery reliability and system sophistication.

When is the Mercedes-Benz GLB coming to America?

The Mercedes-Benz EQB electric SUV is expected to hit American dealerships sometime in early 2022 as a 2023 model. Benz may not have been one of the first automakers to launch an EV, but the electric SUV vehicle class is still relatively new. The luxury electric SUV vehicle class is dominated by Tesla.

Tesla will face major competition because of Mercedes-Benz’s history of producing quality automobiles. The Mercedes-Benz EQB is estimated to start around $46,000+ similarly to the Mercedes-Benz GLB. The EQB is going to shock consumers with its convenience and advanced battery optimization system.
